Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Two people have been arrested in connection to the deadly shooting Tuesday morning on Sherwood Street in east Las Vegas.

According to an arrest report, police dispatch received reports of shots fired at about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 5.

A deceased male was found in a Sherwood Street apartment upon arrival. Police also discovered multiple bullet holes and shell casings and two other people who had been shot.

Ashley Schott, 24, and Laroy Thomas, 37, were both shot in their ankles while sitting on a love seat inside the apartment.

The deceased male, identified as Nathan Rawls in the report, was discovered on the floor of the living room with a bullet wound in his back.

Four bullets also passed through the living room wall and passed above a bed where a man named Marque Hill was sleeping. He was not injured.

A resident in the area told 911 about a car seen leaving the area. A police officer in the area spotted the car and pulled it over.

Matthew Washington Jr., 23, and Martell Moten, 22, were inside of the car. The officer also observed a gun under the front passenger seat.

The two men were transported to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's headquarters. During a search of the car, two guns were actually recovered.

During an interview with the police, both men initially denied involvement in the shooting. Ultimately, they admitted they were in the area but blamed each other.

Both men have been booked into Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder with a deadly weapon, three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and 6 counts of discharging a weapon inside an occupied structure.
