Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A lot of people who shop and live at the District at Green Valley Ranch were worried the new renovations were going to drive people away.
But this weekend, they'll have their chance to check out all the changes.
After nearly 4 months of construction, the former walkway has been turned into a two-way street with angled parking right in front of the shops.
The street is not open yet. That is planned for next week.
But starting Friday, the District is inviting the public to come check out the new look.
Additions include dozes of palm trees, expanded sidewalks and 44 parking spots.
Reviews, so far, are mixed.
The District said they made the changes because they want to attract more people and businesses to the area. There are still 10 available spaces for new stores.
A fall festival this weekend will be the perfect time for people to check out the new look.
