Suspect arrested in connection with Las Vegas sexual assaults

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man has been arrested in connection with numerous sexual assaults that occurred in Las Vegas.

On July 13 at approximately 3:30 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a business on the 4400 block of West Spring Mountain Road to investigate a report of a sexual assault.

The victim indicated she met the suspect in the parking lot of a hotel located on the 3300 block of West Tropicana Avenue. The suspect gave the victim a ride to the West Spring Mountain Road location where the victim was sexually assaulted.

At this time, detectives had been actively investigating at least three additional cases that occurred in June with similar details.

As a result of the investigation, detectives arrested 27-year old Ixtoc Renteria-Bentancourt in connection with these crimes.

He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center on July 19 and faces charges of:

- Sexual assault with a deadly weapon (8 counts)
- Sexual assault (4 counts)

Renteria-Bentancourt was re-booked on July 20 for one additional count of attempted sexual assault and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
