Surveillance photos released of fast food robbery suspect

By Krista Hostetler. CREATED Sep 7, 2013

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police hope surveillance photos will help lead them to a fast food robbery suspect.

During the months of August and September, there have been approximately seven incidents in which citizens waiting in their vehicles in the drive-thru lane of fast food restaurants have been robbed.

In each case, an unknown black adult male has approached the citizens and demanded money while armed with a firearm.

In one case, the suspect escaped in a white sedan.

He has been described as very heavy set with a beard and is approximately 25-35 years old.

The majority of these robberies have occurred near the I-15 and West Sahara. They typically occur in the middle of the night between 11:30 p.m. and 3 a.m.

Police are encouraging citizens to beware and remain cautious while making purchases via drive-thru windows at fast food restaurants.

They are also requesting assistance from residents in identifying the person involved in these crimes.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
