Supermoon to appear again on Saturday night

By Rebecca Lewis. CREATED Aug 9, 2014

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- If you're up late on Saturday night, take a good look at the night sky.

We are expecting another Supermoon. This is the last Supermoon this month.

The first Supermoon of the season was on July 12. If you miss it, you can catch it again on Sept. 9.

The moon will pass within about 221,000 miles of the Earth on Saturday. Typically, it is about 238,000 miles from the planet.

A Supermoon occurs at the point in the moon's orbit when it is closest to Earth.

If you are able to get any shots of the Supermoon send them to
