Las Vegas, NV (KNTV) -- Power is now restored for the hundreds of Mount Charleston residents who were in the dark and cold on Sunday.
NV Energy crews worked in two feet of snow to resolve the problem.
Mountain residents kept busy by shoveling snow from their driveways and away from their homes.
On top of the lack of power, many of the residents were keeping a close eye on the snow buildup in the trees and on their roofs.
Despite the warnings to stay away, dozens of families made the quick trip up the mountain with sleds in hand.
One family visiting from Costa Rica brought their young daughter to see snow for the very first time.
