Police still looking for teen after murder of mother and brother
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Relatives of a missing 16-year-old boy whose mother and brother were found killed are hoping he is found soon.
It was on Friday, Henderson police found the bodies of 40-year-old Elvira Canales-Gomez and her son, 9-year-old Cesar Navarro, inside their apartment off Eastern Avenue and Sunridge Heights Parkway.
Police went to check on them after the woman did not show up for work and her two boys did not show up at school. They say the two victims were found stabbed.
The woman's 16-year-old son Adrian Navarro has not been found. Police say the teenager is not a suspect. His cousin is hoping for the best.
"I hope we find him alive, that's what I hope for," says Gustavo Canales, Jr.. Adrian's cousin.
Police have not released details about a motive or possible suspects.
