Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police were called to the scene of a barricade situation on Wednesday evening.
It happened at the Paradise Park Apartments on the 400 block of East Twain Avenue, near Paradise Road.
Police initially responded to a burglary report. The suspect allegedly entered an apartment through a window just before 6 p.m.
The occupants made it out of the apartment safely.
Police said the suspect was firing multiple rounds of gunfire and had barricaded himself inside the apartment.
The suspect surrendered at around 10:30 p.m. and was taken into custody.
No one was injured.
The area surrounding the apartment complex was expected to be blocked off for several hours following the man's surrender.
