Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The person believed to be in the car that hit an 11-year-old boy on Monday has turned himself in.
Police said 25-year-old Rodrigo Tomax of Las Vegas and 20-year-old Chamilla Cabada-Garcia of Las Vegas turned themselves in at about 1:57 a.m. June 18 to the North Las Vegas Police Department.
Tomax was arrested for failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving an injury and was booked into Clark County Detention Center.
The incident happened at about 9:22 p.m. June 16 near East Bonanza Road and North Eastern Avenue.
Police say the boy was on the sidewalk when the car came up over the curb and hit him.
Action News was able to obtain security video from a business across the street that showed the incident.
At last check, the boy was in serious condition at University Medical Center.
