Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A dangerous intersection in the southwest part of the valley will soon become a little safer.
A new traffic signal will be activated on Thursday at Blue Diamond and Cimarron.
That's where 14-year old Helen Liu was struck and killed last November. Liu's family and the community rallied for safety improvements in the area.
There will also be pedestrian safety upgrades on Blue Diamond at Buffalo and at Durango.
