New baby monitor may be able to detect child's mood

By Rebecca Lewis. CREATED Aug 9, 2014

Being a new parent isn't easy, but some new technology is giving you one less thing to worry about.

It's a small device called the Sproutling Baby Monitor. It attaches to the baby's ankle and works as a tracker.

The device monitors the baby's heart rate, detects when the child is waking up and even claims it can let parents know the baby's mood after a nap.

The baby monitor is set to go on sale at the end of the year for around $300.
