Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- As the devastating flooding in Colorado rages on, a search and rescue team from right here in Nevada has received a call to head out to help.
Nevada Task Force 1 deployed 80 volunteers to Colorado Sunday morning to aid flood victims in the wake of the disaster.
The team includes members from the Clark County, Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas fire departments, as well as members from multiple other areas of need.
The volunteers drove to Colorado with quite the caravan. It included three 18 Wheeler's, two cargo trucks, two buses and several other support vehicles and boats.
The convoy will also be hauling over 50,000 pounds of equipment to the Fort Collins area.
The Salvation Army is also sending a team to bring food, water, and much needed supplies.
They will be in Colorado for a few weeks depending on how things play out.
