Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Pass the syrup, it's National Pancake Week.

It's a week-long celebration of flapjack fun and empty calories.

In honor of National Pancake Week, Action News is taking a look at the top 5 restaurants known for their pancakes according to Yelp reviewers.

Coming in at No. 5 is the BabyStacks Cafe near Smoke Ranch Road and Buffalo Drive. One of their top items is the lemon ricotta pancakes.

No. 4 is Du-Par's restaurants and bakery in the Golden Gate hotel-casino on Fremont Street. Reviewers say Du-Par's classic hotcakes are the way to go.

Hash House A Go Go near Rainbow Boulevard and Sahara Avenue is No. 3 on the list. Their location at the Quad just missed the cut.

At No. 2 is BabyStacks Cafe on Flamingo Avenue and Buffalo Drive. They are the only pancake place with two locations in the top 5.

MTO Cafe on Main Street near city hall grabbed Yelp's top spot for pancakes in Las Vegas. A favorite among reviewers is the poppy-seed pancakes with blueberry compote.

Hash House A Go Go is kicking off National Pancake Week with a bang.

Today, they will be cutting the ribbon on their newest location inside the Rio hotel-casino.

The ribbon will be made entirely of rosemary and local headliners Penn and Teller will be on hand at the ceremony.

It is the fourth location for Hash House A Go Go, which has been in town for 9 years.

They aren't the only ones getting in on the National Pancake Week fun though.

On Tuesday, the executive chef at Aria will be hosting an online demonstration of how he makes his world-famous Red Velvet Pancakes. You can watch all the action via video on their Facebook page beginning at 10 a.m. PT. At 10:30, Chef Amoroso will be available for any questions via their Twitter account using #RedVelvet.
