Man suspected of 2012 El Paso Market shooting arrested
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man wanted for the shooting of 27-year-old Daniel Garcia outside of the El Paso Market on August 2012 has been arrested in California.
Police said Jessie Arrendondo-Mariscal, along with two other men, confronted Garcia outside of the market at about 12:40 a.m. Aug. 15, 2012.
The shooter, now identified as Arrendondo-Mariscal, supposedly asked Garcia where he was from. When Garcia replied "Blythe," he was shot several times.
The shooter then ran off with his friends.
Witnesses to the shooting were able to help police identify Arrendondo-Mariscal as the shooter and the detectives assigned to the case decided they had enough information between witnesses and surveillance video to issue a warrant.
Arrendondo was finally arrested in San Diego. He waived extradition and was returned to Las Vegas. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Thursday.
