Man arrested in connection with fatal stabbing in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police have arrested a man for his alleged involvement in a recent fatal stabbing.
On Monday at approximately 3:30 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Sahara Avenue to investigate reports of a person stabbed.
Arriving officers located an adult male in a vehicle suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Dispatch further received reports of a male acting erratic inside of businesses in the area. Other arriving patrol officers located the male and took him into custody.
A second victim was located in a shopping complex in the 2200 block of South Nellis Boulevard. This victim also appeared to be suffering from stab wounds.
Both victims were transported to the Sunrise Hospital Trauma Center, where one of the victims was later pronounced deceased.
The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Brandon McIver of Las Vegas.
McIver is currently at the Clark County Detention Center where he faces numerous charges including murder, battery and burglary.
The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
