Lawsuit challenges Nevada voter photo initiative
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- Two lawsuits have been filed against an initiative proposed by conservative activist Sharron Angle to require photo identification in Nevada to vote.
Both suits filed in Carson City state court claim the measure is defective and unconstitutional.
One lawsuit Wednesday was filed by lawyers with ties to the Democratic Party. The American Civil Liberties Union filed a separate lawsuit Thursday raising similar challenges.
