Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Kid Rock will headline a concert series in September to celebrate the one-year anniversary of The D Las Vegas.
His performance on Sept. 28 is just one of three major concerts that weekend. Uncle Kracker will perform on Sept. 26 and the Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington will take the stage on Sept. 27.
Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker are natives of Michigan as are the owners of The D Las Vegas -- brothers Derek and Greg Stevens.
The D Las Vegas was formerly known as Fitzgeralds. A $22 million renovation and re-branding was completed in the fall of 2012.
According to the Stevens brothers, the new name was chosen because it stands for both downtown Las Vegas and their hometown of Detroit.
The hotel-casino also features Detroit's legendary Coney Dogs and more at its American Coney Island restaurant.
All three concerts will begin at 9 p.m. and will take place on the Third Street Stage.
The concerts are free although a limited number of room and ticket VIP packages are being offered through www.thed.com.
Beginning Sept. 23, the D Las Vegas will be offering special concert packages for $25.
The package will include a drink and a bleacher pass to one of the D's three celebratory concerts on the 3rd Street Stage.
Limited concert packages will go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 23 and can be purchased in person at the D box office.
