Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Jury selection is set to begin on Monday for the trial of the man accused of murdering a Luxor dancer and then dismembering her body.

Jason Omar "Blu" Griffith, 35, was arrested more than three years ago but his trial has been delayed several times for various reasons.

Griffith is accused of strangling Debora Flores-Narvaez, 31, who was his ex-girlfriend. Flores-Narvaez was first reported missing in December 2010 when she did not show up for a dance rehearsal for Luxor's "Fantasy" show.

The next month, authorities found the body of the dancer encased in concrete in a downtown residence.

Griffith was also a dancer on the Las Vegas Strip. He performed in "The Beatles Love" at The Mirage.

The case garnered national attention partly because of the high-profile pleas by Flores-Narvaez's family for help after when disappeared.

Prosecutors have said they will not seek the death penalty if Griffith is convicted.  Jury selection is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Regional Justice Center.
