Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Henderson city council is meeting to figure out whether a tax hike is the best solution to balance the city's budget.
The city is facing a projected $19 million budget shortfall. One option is increasing the city's property tax rate.
It would go up to 20 cents per $100 of assessed value.
The proposal would have to be approved by voters.
On Tuesday, they could decide whether to put it on the ballot.
