Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Henderson was hit fast and hard by rain on Wednesday afternoon.
The storm created flooding that lasted for hours after the first downpour, leaving behind messy spots of mud and rocks.
"[There was] dirt and debris in the roads. [It was] hard to get by," said Henderson resident Tammy Wadsworth. Daughter Taylor Wadsworth added, "I heard loud, loud thunder and it was raining down really hard."
The sides of the road turned into streams on Boulder Highway near Lake Mead Parkway. Patches of rocks and mud spilled out onto area streets.
"You couldn't even see out here on Boulder Highway," said area resident Yash Nadkarni. "It was just really hazy and just a mess."
When we showed up, Nadkarni was using his tractor to clear debris.
