The Southern Nevada Immunization & Health Coalition has announced its regional schedule of summer Back-to-School immunization events to help children and their families stay healthy throughout the upcoming school year.
The '3-2-1 Vaccine Countdown,' which includes 3 doses of HPV, 2 doses of Meningococcal, and 1 dose of Tdap vaccine, recommended for children 11-12 years of age, together with the vaccines required for kindergarten, will be available at all event sites.
In Nevada, a Tdap shot is required to enter the 7th grade. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends children also receive the HPV, Meningococcal, and the annual flu vaccine for full protection against disease.
