Girl Scouts take part in Public Safety Day with local agencies

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada partnered up with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Public Safety Day this weekend.
The event was open to the public on Saturday.
Agencies participating included AMR Ambulance Services, Airforce Thunderbirds, American Red Cross, Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, Nevada Child Seekers, Nevada Highway Patrol, North Las Vegas Police Department, Safety Splash, LVMPD reps from the K-9 Unit, SWAT, CSI, Traffic and the Bomb Squad.
The agencies taught participants about their professions.
Girl Scout reps were on hand to sign up new scouts.
There was also an activity station for girls to work on their Girl Scout Safety Award.
