Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A valley community is holding onto hope that 25-year-old Irvin Andrade is still alive.
Meanwhile, officials continue their recovery efforts at Lake Mead, where they believe the young man drowned.
Rangers said he was last seen on Sunday, where he was reportedly losing hold of a life raft.
Friends said the young father used to work as a barber at GQ Cuts in Las Vegas. Owner Shasma Fellows said Andrade was like a son to her.
"It's been a rough 24 hours for me because I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. When I got the call that he was missing, it just really upset me. It made my stomach upset and nauseous. I couldn't believe it because I have a 25-year-old [child] also," she told Action News.
Friend and stylist C. Smith said, "Everyone just keep praying. Stay hopefully. Miracles happen every day." She said Andrade is a talented barber who can put a smile on anyone's face.
Rangers said Andrade was not wearing a life jacket. Recovery efforts will resume on Tuesday.
