Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A major traffic project took a big step on Monday.
The Nevada Department of Transportation has approved issuing $564 million worth of bonds for Project Neon.
It will be the largest construction project in the agency's history, and could cost more than a billion dollars.
Plans call for widening Interstate 15 between Sahara and the freeway interchange near downtown known as the Spaghetti Bowl.
