Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Flu season has arrived, which means it's time to start thinking about getting a flu shot.
The Southern Nevada Health District began offering flu shots on Monday.
The health district said the vaccine will protect against four strains of the flu. It's available for adults and healthy children, over the age of six-months.
In addition to the flu shot, remember these tips: Always cover your coughs and sneezes, wash your hands frequently, stay home from work and keep the kids home from school to stop the spread.
If you don't like needles, you're under the age of 49 and don't experience chronic health issues, the inner nasal spray is also an option.
