Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Inside the White Castle food truck, employees were busy flipping burgers for a hungry crowd Friday morning.
The East Coast favorite is back at the Las Vegas Foodie Fest by popular demand.
Matt Minkowsky is one of the many that is looking forward to getting their hands on the little square burgers.
"I grew up on these burgers. I'm from Brooklyn, New York, and this is how we lived in Brooklyn," said Minkowsky.
For the next three days, White Castle will join 30 different food trucks at the food festival taking place at the Silverton hotel-casino.
The trucks will offer everything from burgers to BBQ to burritos and pizza. It is truly a paradise for food lovers.
And that is why the festival offers a wristband that is good for all weekend. As organizer Rainer Galgana said, "It's hazardous to try all this food at once."
Before the start of the festival this afternoon, the White Castle truck made the rounds, giving away free sliders at different spots in the Las Vegas Valley.
At the last food fest, the line stretched across the parking lot and people had to wait several hours for their White Castle fix.
"Last time I went to the foodie fest, there was a really long line that I did not want to wait in so I figured if I got here early, I'd see what the hype was all about," said Elissa Villatoro.
According to festival organizers, White Castle has brought more chefs and triple the number of grills to accommodate ravenous crowds.
Other popular food trucks at the event will include BACONMANIa, The Buttermilk Truck, Sin City Dogs, Lobsta Trap Truck, Sausagefest, Wa Do Pho, Sauced, WTF Pizza and more.
There will also be a beer garden, live entertainment and a carnival.
Hours are 4 p.m. to midnight Friday; noon to midnight Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.
