Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Wednesday was the one year anniversary of a major flooding event in east Las Vegas.
Residents living along the Desert Rose Golf Course suffered major water damage to their homes when the nearby flood channel over flowed.
Many of the residents did not have flood insurance.
Neighbors Action News spoke to are slowly rebuilding. New floors and dry wall have replaced soggy carpet and water levels that reached several feet high.
Repairs to the flood channel are supposed to start by the end of the year. They are expected to take about a year to complete.
