Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Frenzied preparations are underway in downtown Las Vegas for the Life is Beautiful festival next weekend.
50,000 people are expected to attend the two-day event.
Workers are setting up stages and buildings and shutting down streets in a 15 block area from Las Vegas Boulevard to 10th Street east and west, and north and south between Carson Avenue and Mesquite.
Some downtown business owners and residents on the perimeter of the festival said the shutdown is a temporary inconvenience with a long-term payoff.
Mariana Estes of R & R Automotive said, "Supposedly it's gonna be a lot of movement around here, and we might get more exposure."
