Here's a traffic alert for those traveling through the mountains.
Part of Kyle Canyon Road will be partially closed for a few hours on Tuesday.
Work crews will be taking equipment up the mountain so they can start on the flood control project approved by Governor Brian Sandoval.
Teams will build a berm to divert water away from Rainbow Canyon.
Some of the lanes on State Route 157 will be closed from U.S. 95 to the turnoff at Rainbow Canyon Road from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Drivers should use Lee Canyon Road as an alternate.
