Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- This was not a typical hair appointment for Tiffany Ward. Today, Brazyl Ward's mom is shaving it all off.
"I'll always think about she didn't have a choice. I do and I want to go through this with her," says Tiffany.
It's a simple show of support for the little girl who survived a hit-and-run on Halloween.
Tiffany adds, "I'm going to be going through this right beside you, holding your hand. You don't have to worry about anything."
Brazyl's hair was shaved for brain surgery. Now Tiffany says they'll be twins.
Tiffany says hair will grow, but you only get one Brazyl.
The six year old is in serious but stable condition at UMC and well enough to understand her mother's loving gesture. Brazyl's face lit up with a great big smile.
"That was actually the first time she smiled all day. I've been working with her all day and that smile was genuine," says Brazyl's dad Brandon.
The Wards say the best Christmas present is that Brazyl will be discharged shortly after Christmas and will be entering rehab.
Brandon says at the rate she's going she's more than ready.
They even got a visit from Marie Osmond who came bearing "Reindeer on the Roof" Christmas gifts. It was part of a partnership between Children's Hospital of Nevada at UMC and Caesars Entertainment.
The hair salon "Faces of Angels" will donate Tiffany's hair to Locks of Love.
The Wards plan to celebrate Christmas in Brazyl's hospital room.
