Arrest made after man dies from injuries sustained during fight

Laughlin, NV (KTNV) -- An arrest was made after a man died from injuries sustained during an altercation.

On Dec. 15, the victim of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at UMC Trauma.

The investigation into the incident began on Dec. 11 at approximately 1:10 p.m. after officers with the Metro Laughlin Resident Section were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Casino Drive in Laughlin to investigate reports of an altercation.

Arriving officers located an unconscious man bleeding from his face.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim and suspect knew each other. An argument between both men turned physical, resulting in the suspect striking the victim several times in the face.

The victim was transported to WARMC Hospital where it was determined he sustained a life threatening injury and was then transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition.

The suspect did not remain at the scene but was identified as 54-year-old Michael Dean Dymond.

On Dec. 12, Dymond was taken into custody and now faces charges of felony battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.
