Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Some surface streets in Las Vegas are still a little wet Monday but it is nothing compared to what drivers had to deal with on Sunday.
Several crashes were reported during Sunday's wild weather. Rain was reported all over the Las Vegas Valley but the southwest part of the Valley was the hardest hit.
And in Henderson, several residents reported hail.
Even though the rain may have been an inconvenience for anyone who was out and about, many people said it was good for the valley.
Another positive, the rain dampened the Carpenter 1 wildfire and the forest service says it is now 100 percent contained.
According to Action News meteorologist Mike Tsolinas, another round of afternoon thunderstorms is possible in the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding mountains today as a moist air mass remains in place.
Temperatures will stay cool because of cloud cover and saturated ground in some areas.
