Police, SWAT called to barricade situation

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police were called to a barricade situation Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:10 p.m. on the 6100 block of Brea Boulevard, near Hacienda Avenue and Jones Boulevard.

The call came in as a domestic disturbance.

A person was refusing to come out of the home. Police said there were multiple people inside, but the incident was not a hostage situation.

Police had reason to believe one person had a firearm.

SWAT was called to the scene.

The situation ended around 4:40 p.m. with a suspect taken into custody.

Police said no one was hurt and there was no need for use of force.

The suspect surrendered without incident.
