Bonanza High School alum drafted by Chicago Cubs
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- As Bryce Harper becomes a huge presence in Major League Baseball, another Las Vegas slugger is heading to the professional ranks.
Bonanza High School alum Kris Bryant was picked No. 2 by the Chicago Cubs in Thursday's Major League Baseball draft.
The 20-year-old has been playing third base for the University of San Diego.
With 31 home runs in his junior year season, Bryant could someday give the faithful at Wrigley Field plenty to cheer about.
