Volunteers needed for human ribbon on Monday
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A local non-profit organization that works to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS is looking for volunteers to help create a human ribbon on Monday at the Donald W. Reynolds Symphony Park in downtown Vegas.
June 3 marks the 27-day countdown until Golden Rainbow's 27th annual "Ribbon of Life" spectacular. The show is the nonprofit's main source of revenue and one of Southern Nevada's largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers.
The show will take place at 1 p.m. June 30 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets start at $48. More information can be found at www.goldenrainbow.org.
The human ribbon will begin forming at 10 a.m. on June 3 in the park. Volunteers should be there at 9:30. All volunteers are asked to wear red.
Golden Rainbow provides housing and direct financial assistance to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.
