Fire restrictions begin in Southern Nevada
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Fire restrictions began Saturday in Southern Nevada.
The Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service and other entities are implementing the restrictions.
The restrictions prohibit using any explosive without a permit, using fireworks, building campfires and using charcoal stoves.
Other restrictions apply to certain areas including the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and the Mt. Charleston area.
Park Rangers hope the restrictions prevent wildfires from striking the region.
For more details on the restrictions, call the U.S. Forest Service at 702-515-5400 or the National Park Service at 702-293-8990.
