Las Vegas hits new record-high temperature for April 29
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas has officially hit a new record-high temperature for April 29 with a 99 degree reading at McCarran International Airport.
That's the highest temperature on record in Las Vegas for April 29. The previous high was 98 degrees on April 29, 2007.
Sunday's high of 97 tied the record set for April 28 back in 2007.
The heat is expected to subside as a cooler front moves in on Tuesday morning. Highs are likely to reach the low-90s before temperatures level out to the mid-80s on Wednesday and Thursday.
Just in time for the weekend, temperatures are expected to spike back up to the low 90s on Friday and Saturday before a slightly cooler Sunday.
