New Masters champion former UNLV student
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- There is a new Masters golf champion this morning and he has a tie to Las Vegas.
Adam Scott is the first former University of Nevada, Las Vegas student to ever win the major tournament.
He is also the first Australian to ever wear the famous green jacket.
It was no easy feat for Scott.
It rained during the final 18 holes of the tournament and Scott had to go head to head with his former teammate Angel Cabrera after the day ended in a tie.
Scott defeated the Argentinian player during a playoff.
