2014 March Madness events in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Calling all college basketball fans, March Madness is here! Check out these deals and specials happening around town.
Aliante Casino Hotel and Spa
Aliante will offer fans the chance to become heroes of the hardwood with the March Mayhem Bracket Contest for the 2014 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament beginning Thursday, March 20. The Race & Sports Book will offer jumbo dogs for $3 each, or two for $5, along with Budweiser products for $2 during all tournament games. Patrons will also enjoy side items such as popcorn and chips.
Cabo Wabo Cantina
Cabo Wabo Cantina inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood will be the ultimate Springtime getaway for college partiers during Spring Break and a great spot to cheer on NCAA teams during March Mayhem from Tuesday, March 18 through Monday, April 7. Partiers who crave ice-cold beer, the Strip-side patio will feature beer tubs with select imported and domestic brews and mixed beer bucket specials, with prices starting at $25.
Hoops & Hops, an NCAA Men’s Basketball luxury viewing experience unlike any other, will take place inside The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 20-22. Four distinct experiences will be offered:
-- The Main includes open seating at high boy, long tables and bar seating, access to a basketball court, Wii video game stations, pool tables and arcade games and two complimentary beverages. $45 per day/$112.50 for 3-day pass
-- The Gallery includes access to The Main as well as prime viewing assigned seats, select open bar and complimentary snacks. $150 per day/$375 for 3-day pass
-- Floor Sofa seating features prime viewing that can be configured to fit parties from 2 to 10 people and includes access to The Main. Prices vary depending on party size.
-- Gallery Box seating features prime viewing for parties ranging in size from 10 to 16 people and includes access to both The Main and The Gallery. Prices vary depending on party size.
Crazy Horse III
Just in time for March Mayhem, fans looking for a sexy spot to grab a drink and watch the games will score big at The Sports Bar. Available during every game of the NCAA tournament, college basketball fanatics will enjoy happy hour from noon to 8 p.m., with specials such as the “Deer and a Beer” including a shot of Jägermeister and a Bud Light, priced at $6 as well as buckets filled with four Budweiser or Bud Light bottles, priced at $20.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Basketball fans can catch the game in The Joint March 20-22. Tickets start at $68 per person per day and feature bottomless Bud Light draft beer, thousands of dollars in giveaways including a trip for two to the “Ultimate Basketball Weekend” at the Bud Light Hotel in Dallas from Saturday, April 5 to Tuesday, April 8, and live gaming and betting stations. Guests can also purchase a three-day package ticket for $150 per person or opt for a VIP suite starting at $2,000 each for up to 10 people. The VIP suites also include premium open bar and a high-end buffet. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the first tipoff.
El Cortez will host a viewing party for the Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament in its Fiesta Room March 20-22. The party is open to the public each day during the following times: Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 22, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Guests can enjoy every game while taking advantage of a special viewing party menu that will feature $2 hot dogs and brats, and $3 Budweiser drafts. Additional stadium-style fare will also be available.
Catch all the action on four giant screens and enjoy giveawayus, food and drink specials and betting stations. Held inside The Grand ballroom. Free admission. Doors open at 8 a.m.
Fremont Street Experience
Fremont Street takes part in all the college basketball action by hosting the 5th Annual Downtown Hoopstown through April 8 to celebrate. In addition to basketball-themed entertainment, Viva Vision shows, and a High Hoops Zone where fans can test their skills shooting into a 20, 25 and 30-ft basket, Fremont Street Experience will display the largest NCAA bracket in the world on the 1,500 ft. Viva Vision canopy throughout the tournament.
The LVH will turn its theater into a basketball destination for avid fans. The theater offers 1,500 seats, five giant HD screens, giveaways, food and drink specials, betting stations, live radio remotes and more.
Miller's Ale House
Catch the Final Four action at Miller's Ale House at Town Square. $8 pitchers of Budweiser or Bud Light for all 3 games.
Former Los Angeles Lakers guard will make a special appearance between 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday. Games will be shown on several big screens in Mardi Gras Ballroom. Food and drink specials including $1.50 hot dogs and $2 well drinks and giveaways.
College hoops fans will see nothing but net and bottomless drinks at PBR Rock Bar & Grill this March. Located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the rockin’ party spot will have basketball enthusiasts cheering for March Mayhem open bar specials from Tuesday, March 18, through Monday, April 7. Partygoers may also choose between two shorter open bar sessions, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. or 4 p.m. until midnight, priced at $125 per person. All open bar packages include guaranteed seating.
Catch the game at Pizza Rock in downtown Las Vegas and enjoy daily game specials. Bring in your bet from Downtown Grand and receive 20% off your check during month of March. Fill out a bracket at Pizza Rock for the chance to win a $400 Pizza Rock gift certificate.
Planet Hollywood, Harrah's, Rio, Flamingo & The QUAD
Full court packages will include an all-you-can-eat buffet and all-you-can-drink Miller Lite and Coors Light. There will also be giveaways, table games, live betting stations and appearances by the Miller Lite and Coors Light girls. Special man cave packages featuring a high-end buffet and premium open bar also available. Cost is $99 per person at Rio, $115 per person for full court package at Flamingo and Harrah's and $135 at Planet Hollywood. Cost for man cave package is $1,600 for group of 6 at The QUAD; $2,250 for group of 8 at Planet Hollywood; and $2,400 for group of 8 at Flamingo and Harrah's. Harrah's and The QUAD closed Sunday.
RHUMBAR at The Mirage Hotel & Casino will cater to college hoops fanatics with tournament tailgate parties featuring optional all-you-can-eat-and-drink packages Thursday, March 20, through Sunday, March 23. Packages start at $100 per person for a single day and go up to $250 per person for a four-day package. Sponsored by Coors Light and Belvedere Vodka, tailgate packages include unlimited well drinks, bloody marys, Coors Light bottles, breakfast burritos, chili, nachos, hot dogs and more.
Strip-side visitors can watch basketball all day and party all night from open until close, thanks to the ultra-dive bar’s all-day open bar, priced at $200 per person. March basketball action is coming to Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower Thursday, March 20 through Sunday, March 23, 2014, offering sports fans the ultimate wall-to-wall sports viewing experience. March B-Ball Tournament HQ offers free admission into "sports headquarters" inside the Stratosphere Theater which is set up with nine huge viewing screens around the room, providing fans with table seating and unobstructed views to easily keep track of their favorite games.
Free admission, food and drink specials, betting stations, beer pong, pop-a-shot and giveaways during Thursday's and Friday's games.
Tacos & Tequila
Fans can enjoy a basketball bash complete with delicious courtside favorites created by Corporate Executive Chef Saul Ortiz while watching every shot on T&T’s high-definition flat-panel televisions. The ultimate package features Basketball Nachos made with Mexican meatballs, black beans, jalapeños, chipotle cheese sauce, guacamole, pico de gallo and crema fresca; a Jose Cuervo shot; the choice of a Dos Equis or Coors bottled beer and a ticket to see the sultry ladies of FANTASY. Basketball fans can catch all the action in the Treasure Island ballroom starting March 20 and continuing through March 23. Wolfgang Puck's Pizzeria and Cucina
A menu of rustic Italian food bites and drink selections will be available with March Madness-themed price levels of which guests can choose between "Final Four" $4 "Elite eight" $8, and "Sweet Sixteen" $16 items.Guests can enjoy these selections March 18-March 30th at the bar only.
All games will be shown on big screens in the Encore Showroom at the Wynn. Admission is free and there will be betting stations, food and drink specials, and giveaways.
