Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Three people were shot in a parking garage on the Las Vegas Strip overnight.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened just after 12 a.m. Wednesday in a parking garage in the 3700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard South.

Arriving officers found one victim lying near the parking garage elevator lobby with a minor gunshot wound.

Two other victims were found with critical gunshot wounds, one inside an elevator and one in an elevator lobby. Both were taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening-injuries.

The parking garage is adjacent to the Regal United Showcase Theater which is near the MGM Grand.

Police say the victims may have been involved in an argument just before midnight with another group of people, which may have led to the shooting.

The two groups may have known each other and been involved in an ongoing dispute, detectives said.

LVMPD is still looking for the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call LVMPD's Violent Crimes Section at 702-828-5634 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
