Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Several organizations come together to pay tribute to America's military heroes, and it all happened at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino.

More than 100 wounded veterans showed up at the Cosmo Sunday to get the VIP treatment.

Flown in by American Airlines, the vets from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were honored by employees of the Strip's newest casino, as well as Swett and Crawford, and their insurance partners.

Several celebrities including Gary Sinise, John Ratzenberger of Cheers fame, and Chef Duff Goldman showed up. Several speakers spent the time advocating for veterans who come back after sacrificing so much for their country in foreign wars.

"Give a really heartfelt, sincere thank you to them. For the commitment they've made to our country, to keeping us safe, and to perpetuating all the freedoms that we have in this country," said CFO Ron Eidell of the Cosmopolitan.

"We hear nothing but gratitude. The thing that's so great is that we're the ones that should be grateful. The whole point of this is to thank them for their service, and that's what makes us want to do this and do more of it," says Bob Greenebaum with Swett and Crawford.

The rest of the night will include parties, dinner, and entertainment including a performance by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band.
