Coroner identifies Reno Ave. shooting victim as 14-year-old boy
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified 14-year-old Haji Mohamud from Las Vegas as the victim in a fatal shooting on Jan. 12.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, numerous calls about shots fired at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of East Reno Avenue at about 1:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, patrol officers discovered two gunshot victims. Mohamud was pronounced dead at the scene. The other person, also a male, was taken to Sunrise Trauma Medical Center with a non-life threatening wound.
The two victims were attending a party at the apartment complex when a fight broke out. At this time, no one has been arrested for the shooting.
