STATELINE, Nev. (AP) -- Douglas County authorities are calling in other search and rescue teams to look for a missing snowboarder at Heavenly Ski Resort.

Undersheriff Paul Howell says 24-year-old Corey Hoffman of Gardnerville was snowboarding with his brother Wednesday when they became separated on their last run of the day. Hoffman didn't make it back to the parking lot, where his vehicle was found along with his cellphone.

Authorities believe Hoffman is still on the mountain.

Rescuers searched throughout the night but were hampered by snow, wind and avalanche danger.

They are hoping to bring in an airplane and a military helicopter Thursday to search from the air.

Howell says Hoffman reportedly was skiing both in and out of bounds of resort property.
