Clark County, NV (KTNV) -- Dozens showed up Friday, despite cold weather, to rededicate Kyle Canyon Road as the "miles of memories."

Plaques along State Route 157 honor D.U.I. crash victims.

It's the first time a motorcade memorial, led by law enforcement attending, was held.

The dedication event comes just before December begins, which is drugs and drunk driving prevention month.

"During the holiday season, this roadway is very very busy so when those folks see [those] signs, hopefully that will serve as a reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence," comments STOP DUI founder Sandy Heverly.

This year they added 8 signs to the memorial, including 4 with the names of victims killed in the September bus shelter crash on Spring Mountain & Decatur.

According to STOP DUI, State Route 157 is the most saturated DUI victim memorial awareness road in the Nation.
