Man critically injured in North Las Vegas shooting
North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- One man is in critical condition and another man is being detained for questioning after a shootout early this morning in a North Las Vegas apartment complex.
The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Monday morning. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in an apartment complex at 1827 W. Gowan Road.
Upon arrival, police officers found a 31-year-old man suffering multiple gunshot wounds after an exchange of gunfire. He was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.
The suspect, a 42-year-old man, was not injured and has been detained for questioning.
Both men are residents of the apartment complex.
Neighbors of the men at the complex say they heard about a dozen shots and one of the bullets shattered the window of an empty bedroom.
Several other apartments were also struck by gunfire but no one else was injured.
