Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Restaurant Week is right around the corner.
The major fundraiser for Three Square begins Monday, Aug. 27, and ends on Sept. 2.
During Restaurant Week, diners can visit any participating restaurant and enjoy a multi-course, prix fixe menu specifically created for the week.
Not only is a great opportunity to enjoy fabulous meals at a reduced cost at many of the city's top restaurants, it is also an opportunity to help an organization that feeds thousands of hungry people in Nevada.
The event is a fundraiser for Three Square -- Nevada's only food bank that provides assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmerald and Clark Counties.
A special event Bubbles & Buddhas, will kick off the week from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the lounge at Tao at The Venetian. During the event, 50% of all champagne sales will benefit Three Square and there will be complimentary hors d'oeuvres.
More than 80 restaurants are participating. Meals range in price from $20.12 to $50.12. Each restaurant decides what portion of the proceeds from the meal they wish to donate -- $4, $6 or $8.
A complete list of restaurants with menus and prices can be found at helpoutdineoutlv.org.
Three Square provides bakery, produce, dairy, non-perishable products and ready-to-eat meals to non-profit and faith-based organizations that serve those in need.
They currently provide the equivalent of 18 million meals each year to more than 650 program partners.
Las Vegas Restaurant Week began in 2007.
