CCSD deputy superintendent looking for new job
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County School District deputy superintendent is interviewing for a top position in Philadelphia.
Pedro Martinez is one of two finalists for the superintendent job for the Philadelphia school system.
During an interview yesterday, he was asked about how he would handle all sorts of issues -- from school violence to finding money to run the cash-strapped district.
Martinez says Nevada spends $8,000 per year per student compared to Philadelphia's $14,000.
Martinez has been the deputy superintendent for Clark County for one year.
