Man accused of biting off lovers' lips: 'I'm a good person'
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man accused of brutally biting off the lips of his lovers is admitting to the crimes and insists he is a good person.
"I don't want people to look at me and go oh, he's not a good man, he's not a human being, because I am," says Roberto Flores, in a jailhouse interview with Action News.
Flores is speaking two days after one of his victims came forward showing pictures of her lips after the attack.
"He's a really big threat. He's a dangerous person. Crazy," said ex-girlfriend Victoria Silva.
Flores is also accused of biting off a chunk of his ex-wife's lip during a fit of rage in 2007.
"When you're under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, you're not there," says Flores.
In addition to alcohol and cocaine, Flores blames his actions on growing up in a violent household and watching his mom beat up repeatedly by his step-father.
"Even though I know it's wrong, I'm traumatized," says Flores. "I still have the trauma of seeing how my mom would get beat up, of seeing how physically and emotionally I would get abused.
Flores believes jail is not the answer and says professional help is the only way for him to break the cycle of violence.
"Someone who is really willing to help me," says Flores. "That is the key."
