Sister confronts suspect in cab driver's disappearance
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The couple accused of in the death of a local cab driver appeared in court on Monday morning in Henderson as the search for Keith Goldberg's body continues.
Goldberg's sister Jodi visited one of the suspects in jail, searching for answers as to where her brother's body is. Georgene Ross did not give any answers.
"She's more worried about herself right now," Jodi said. "She's just very concerned with herself and wanting to get out. She refused to cooperate or give me an information whatsoever. Then, after about 9 minutes, she said she had to go and hung up."
Keith disappeared in January. Evidence and witness statements led police to believe he was killed by Georgene Ross and her estranged husband Christopher Ross.
Searchers came up empty-handed when looking for his body near Lake Mead this weekend.
"Candidly we're looking for signs of a buried body, that's what we're looking for," David Cummings with Red Rock Search and Rescue said. "We're looking for anything out of the ordinary. We're looking in cracks crevices behind bushes. We're doing some serious ground pounding out in the desert area."
They're focusing efforts on an area east of Sunrise Mountain. Searchers say they won't stop until Goldberg's body is found and his family can finally say their goodbyes.
"When they walked into that courtroom, my hands were freezing," Jodi said. "I'm angry, I'm so angry at them right now. I wish they would give us a clue as to where he is. It's just a total rush of emotions right now."
