Thousands show up to Occupy Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV)- It was an event that filled downtown Las Vegas with passionate people who say they're upset and sick of the way Wall Street continues to get preferential treatment while ruining this country's economy.

Just after 4 Saturday afternoon, thousands of people showed up on Fremont Street with signs, drums, and horns. Old and young walked up and down Fremont. They joined others across the nation in occupying their own cities, hoping to draw attention to what they call a corrupt system run by large corporations.

"I just refuse to live in a nation that has defined a corporation as a person. That is so sick and wrong. I don't want my children living in that kind of society. I will not live in that kind of society. America is so much better than this," says one protestor, Therese Campbell.

This is only the beginning. Another event is planned for next week. Organizers are hoping to bring an even bigger march down the Las Vegas Strip.
